At the and of the last book, Farron broke his curse.

“And here stands the coward, who pretends passiveness is pacifism. Who hides behind investigation instead of admitting indecisiveness.”

He finds his courage, he admitted he doesn't have the answers and he led his people.

He is Rosalina's mate, her best friend and her everything. The one who loves her with the purest love.

And now they are in Spring.

Spring with all the beauty and renewal, all protected by steel.

We learn about Ezryn's history. His creed and his honor. Honor and glory, guilt and holding back. Afraid.

Ezrons curse.

 “Here stands the vigilante, who seeks vengeance instead of redemption. Who drowns his sorrows in blood and bone instead of facing what lies beneath.” 

And he doesnt break the curse. He finds his mate, but he cant let go of his vengeance

We find out many secrets. More about Caspian and his family. His sister the Nightinggale, Little Bird. And we find out more bird related aspects in this book.

We also get a fair amount of spice.

The ending of the book just breaks my heart.

When Kairyn is trying to kill his brother

 Kairyn’s face is soft as he pushes down and down. “It’s okay,” he murmurs as he kills me. “Look at me. Shush, shush. Look at me. It’s okay.” 

my heart broke 💔 into a million pieces 

And Wren claims to be Days mate. That is the worst of all. Day just cant take it. When Rosalina wasn't shown to be his mate, he just hurts them. Over and over to protect himself

 “Here stands the fool, who escapes within the flesh for fear of his fate. Who squanders his time and talent."

There are so many things going on! I had to read it in just over a day and immediately go to the next one... and I know how that one ends and my hearts breaks more for everyone... but I have to keep reading

This what I mean by emotional damage
