Keldarion banishes Rosalina, and the other Princes dont come for her. My heart aches at how that makes her feel.

And months have gone by! She put her heart and soul into helping them with their curse, being with them every day and giving them a ball to find their mates and she dissappear and no one says a word. Not even Prince who spoke in her head.

Now Rosalina has lost her confidence to talk back to Lucas, but also gained her confidence by not caring what the town thinks (you go Rosalina! They never deserved you!)

“I don’t understand why I can’t do the same thing now [fighting]. Why can’t I tell him to leave?" “Because you are afraid.... your heart knows what to fear and what is safe. And it’s hard to see a monster when he’s proclaimed a hero.”

And she's so happy when she can get through to Ezryn (knight in shining armour)

“Ezryn.” His name on my lips is the only thing keeping me together. I feel like I’m in the Briar with him, the rain pounding upon my skin. “I want to go home.”

 

In the first book Kel talked about his mate 

 “It’s not a spark. It’s an eternal fire that burns from deep within my heart and reaches out to you... And every moment I am not touching you, it eats my soul inside out, tearing me apart, until merely looking at you is an anguish I would only wish upon my worst enemy.”

So he knows. He knows and hes doing it to her. He is ruining her for his own selfish reasons that he won't even share what they are!
