This broke the strongest amd most aloof Prince. Ezryn realizes that he abandoned her. That they all abandoned her.
They were told she left and they didnt even question Kel, and fell apart when she was gone. The same way they fell apart and abandoned the realms.
Dayton drank, Ezryn ran and Farron faded. Keldarion hid.

But the Princes fight for Rosalina. They have something to fight for. They fight Kel, their brother. They dont win. But they fight for her.
They almost get to her too late too. And they need to bring Lucas back with them. She is way to kind to him, but does it to protect Farron.

They find out she is Keldarion's mate, and that he knew it from the first time. And it's just another way he is taking control and lying to everyone.
He is fighting so hard to keep her away. He thinks hes helping but lying to someone's face to protect them, is lying first.  You are just protecting yourself.

Now the other Princes are all wanting her and fighting themselves.

Remind you who you belong to. He’d told me I’d belonged to the princes of Castletree.

Ezryn kisses her (in the dark so he can remove his helmet 😍) and Dayton seduces her, only Farron holds back

I’m already going to lose Day to his mate. One day, Kel’s going to change his mind. And I can’t lose you too, Rosie.”

Caspian comes back in the picture. And you can see that there is so much past with him. Rosalina really wants to hate him, she's brainwashed into not listening to her heart. So she wants to hate him, but really cant understand why he is destroying them.

I find myself unable to draw in a full breath as I look upon him, radiant and otherworldly in his beauty.


And no one Listens to Caspian! I think he always tells the truth. They just dont see it. Why does the castle fall down when the thorns are removed? I dont know, maybe the thorns are what is hilding the castle together!
They even talk about a story when they tried to safe a dying tree with their magic.

And Cassian is the only one who seems to know what is happening
“You couldn’t possibly think the mate of the High Prince of Winter was only a mere human. She’s got power bubbling beneath the surface. All of you are too distracted to see it.”

Kel finds out about Rosalina's scar
A desperate sob bubbles in my chest, and my true fear bursts out. “You must be so ashamed to have a mate who allowed someone to do this to her.”

Lucas hurt her so much. She later tells the others 

“Lucas left many scars on me. But this is the only one that can be seen"

And she finally realizes she shouldn't be ashamed of it. They want to give her, her revenge and Caspian steps in. The one who wants to save her.

“But she hasn’t. Don’t let her fall into the darkness as we have.”

And one of the most romantic lines
Lay that burden upon my shoulders. Let me be your darkness.

And we get more clues about that something is making Caspian sick and draining his magic (maybe the castle he is trying to hold up while the Princes all mope around!)
