Kings of Lockdown .... Chapter 23-27

Im disappointed in who the stalker is. It is too easy. I think hes being set up by someone (?Kyans family), if so I feel bad for Toby. The different things that the stalker did just dont seem to match, it seemed there was an aggressive part (the threats) and the in-love with parts (the love notes) and the creepy part (photos and stealing underwear). I thought Toby had competed in the "wiping trials" during the Night keeper party, but I went back and they didnt mention him.

But it certainly brought the hunter out in the NightKeepers.

We find out about Kyans family. Irish mafia and why he was so worried about what the Kings would think of him. He needs to escape them! He's way too good for them.

Kyan found out about the list. And of course is good with the revenge, and even let's her get back for the bathtub (which again... he was the one to stop it, just like they storm)
"And I’m not even sorry for the vow - I’m glad you belong to me.”

She asks for a truth for her revenge and he gives it to her. Because he doesn't want to be vulnerable and wouldn't share, really share, otherwise.
“You wanted the truth, baby.... You told me I was yours once before. And now I’m saying it too.”

But he still won't kiss her! But now it's more about protecting her from him, then protecting himself from her.
But he still sees right through everything.

There is a bunch of hillarious scenes leading to what Im sure is Tatum escaping to her father.
My favorite is the text exchange. I was howling listening to it. Blake and Saint have no idea what is happening... neither does Kyan and he just goes with it.
Tatum: 🦑
And Saints reaction “I swear to Christ, if someone doesn’t tell me what the fucking squid emoji means soon, I’m going to lose my shit.”
Blake: Be serious, a minute. We just wanna know you’re alright.
Tatum: Gah, wasn’t my last message clear enough? 🦑 🦦 ¿
Saint: No, it isn’t clear enough and if you don’t explain your answer, I’ll be punishing you for it later tonight. Tatum: I don’t know why you’re getting so angry at me. I answered the question. You can’t punish me for shit. Unless you found out about the thing I did to your cufflinks.
Kyan: We need to 🧅 tomorrow like you promised, baby. Don’t forget.
Tatum: 🦑
Kyan: 🐙
Saint: I’ll fucking 🦑 you until you’re begging me to stop, unless you quit it with this bullshit.
Tatum: What?
Kyan: That makes, literally no sense, dude…

OMG I love them so much! I think the Twisted Sisters just try to find the most ridiculous things

And when she is "scared of the spider... and Blaze keeps looking for it!
Holy #%^&, that was good and weird and oh my god Blake is still waiting for an explanation!

How can she not fall in love with these guys?

The punishments 🥵 from Saint
“she knows she’s been bad and is willing to accept her punishment.” “Which will be…?”  the hint of a smile toyed around his lips. “Utterly satisfactory for both of us,” he said cryptically.

This whole book is about Tatum coming around and both her and the Kings realizing the same things
“Respect?” I spat. “Why should I respect you? You’ve taken everything from me.”
“Have I? Or have I given you the world?
... I’ve seen the power in you, I’ve seen what you truly are. Now…I’m shaping you.”

And even Saints last punishment... and she definitely wanted that punishment. Yes she lost her mind because he wouldnt give her the letters...She needs the punishments, because she is fighting herself. She wants to hate them and not forgive them, but she is... forgiving them

Maybe some of this anger wasn’t just for him, maybe it was aimed at myself. Because as much as I didn’t want to admit it, at some point, I’d started to forgive them. If they weren’t monsters right down to their rotten cores, then that made them human. It made them redeemable. And I was in a war with the part of me that was acknowledging that. Letting them in, piece by beautiful, terrible piece

I think I've mentioned that I'm not quite sure why Monroe is on the cover of this book. He was pissy to her for most of the book. But he is also the only one she shares her whole truth with.
And her father wants to meet up with her, so she needs to confide in him (and hopefully as a Night Keeper, subconsciously she isn't trying to really escape them and break their cold hearts)

But Monroe.... Oh Monroe, the sweetest man who just wants his revenge, but protecting Tatum. And she needs to trust and confide in someone!
“You’re never going to trust me with this if you don’t trust yourself with it,”
...
“Be honest with yourself. The world won’t fall, I promise. I’ll hold it up for you,”

And if those words arent sweet enough. Then this is why he's the one on the cover of this book
