Im glad that we were seeing the truth through Elizabeth/Darcys eyes. It makes the heartbreak so much worse because Amon is cast as such a bad guy. When all he wanted is to be with his soul mate.

Sela, Elizabeth and Darcy are all innocent, all being brainwashed and all rescued by Amon. Sela and Elizabeth has evil mother's. Darcy lost her mother, but it seems the father would have been the evil one, but she was saved from that.

It is like Persephone/Hades mythology. (and also Amun/Met... I think). Especially with Amun losing his eyes and his monster form.

Amon is accepting of everything Sela is and she is so innocent he can show her his world. But I love how she can be innocent but also strong.
Sela has amazing power and everyone wants her for her power but Amon just wants to support her. The fated Mate mythology and instant love and connection. Finding the other half of your soul.

Amon is do dark and violet, and so sweet with Sela.
it's also clear he's restraining himself for my sake.

Their wedding night was spicy but also sweet because they both didnt know what to do.

Finally getting the mythology and background of what exactly is happening. Who is chasing them in the "real world", why and how Amon isn't actually a demon.

The whole witches coven (and the mythology world) seems very stupid. Something scary happens and the  church men (who are actually gods like Amon/Sela) say Amon is a demon and no one questions anything. Just agree to their version of events

I only have about 100 pages left and bad things need to happen to Amon and Sela, the concept of raising high .... their wedding night.... to fall further .... how Sela dies.
And then get back to Massachusetts to kick some Fairydale a$$.

I thought this was a stand alone, but aive found there are actually 3 books in this series. So Im hoping this story ends and other characters star in the other books. But I don't want to spoil anything so i haven't seen what they are about.
