Come read Beasts of the Briar

Im going to do a re-read of the Beasts of the Briar. I got to book 4 (broken by daylights) and then the cliff hanger! But wanted to get closer to the completed series (Oct 20) before starting again. Book 6 comes out next month so I thought it was a good time for a re-read

This is a why-choose, Beauty and the Beast retelling... with fae seasonal princes (Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall).

Im on Chapter 20. The chapters are quick and short and so far it's mostly the traditional-ish Beauty and the Beast storyline.

Rosalina is a book loving human with a really, really awful kinda-boyfriend who just says hes going to marry her.
Her father is the town crazy archeologist who says his wife was kidnapped by fairies. He comes across a castle in a briar and goes there for help and is thrown in prison. Rosalina trades herself for him and now she's a prisoner of the Fae prince.
There are actually 4 fae princes... and they turned into beasts.

The princes are all different. Winter, Keldarion is an uptight, white haired prince, in charge of the castle and everyone. Spring, Ezryn is a very intense knight. I always pictured him as a knight in shining armour. But I now know hes more Mandalorion style knight. Summer, Dayton is a beach-babe summer almost surfer boy.
Fall, Faron is much more timid and seems to be the youngest and quietest of them all.

One imprisoned me, one threatened me, one tried to eat me, and one, I suspect, wanted to do very indecent things to me. And all of them transform into fucking demon wolves.

Kel is keeping her prisoner and wont let her go, Ezryn tried to strangle her, Farron cant control his wolf and attacked her and Dayton was very flirty when meeting her in a hotspring.

They all seem to be living in this run down castle that is covered in thorns. The princes were all cursed 25 years ago.... and Rosalina finished highschool 8 years ago... The servants are very helpful and kind and seem to know things they want the princes to share. The thorns/castle have also helped her at various times, helping her escape goblins and the dungeon

The re-read is good because I know much more about these characters but I get to meet them from the beginning again! But I also know how book 4 ends...

There is a Prequel I haven't read, but Ive seen it as book 1.5 and it is background information about Dayton (and Farron)
